This is a 1/35 diorama using the Tamiya 25 pounder kit and tamiya tractor. Apart from a few bits of stowage from the spares box it is built staright out the box.

Hi Gerry,
Nice work on the kit, it still makes for a decent display. Nice sense of action with this one.
A couple of observations, the satchels on the gun shield were leather as far as I know. To me the chipping on the front of the gun shield and helmets is a bit over done, otherwise it looks good. The hose worn by the gunners was brown in colour as I recall, I've never seen green hose but it may have existed.
It would have been good to show a couple of the windows/doors open as inside the truck it would be cooking hot with everything closed up.
That said this makes for a very pleasing diorama with a good action feel about it.
Fine work.
Cheers

Thanks for looking and taking the time to comment.
I agree about the old kits and it can be a bit of a challenge to get them to a certain standard.
Still it's nice to re visit the kits built when a kid.
Cheers

Hi Gerry,
you certainly squeezed everything out of this old kit!
No "GI Joe gaps" between body and arms visible!!! Not so easy with these figs!!!!
And look at the officer's hands, look more like shovels!
The weathering on the vehicle is very nice! It's chipping, not rust! Congratulations!!
Also the sweat showing through the shirts is just fine!!!
The only visible "flaw" in my eyes is the "pattern" of dark spots on the helmets!! Too regular, too many..!
Well done anyway Sir!! A worthy revival!!!
Cheers
