Were any Canadian Chevy Gun Tractors used in the PTO?
And also, in Normandy would you see one towing a captured PAK 40 ?
Thanks!

a little more info is required on what you term a "Canadian chev gun tractor". Do you mean the CMP Quads? or the Australian pattern gun tractors based on the CMP chassis or what?

Chip,
Theres a good chance it served in Burma with the British 14th army along with the quad that Tamiya do as for it towing a pak 40 well who knows irecently read an article were
a full british RA unit were equipted with captured '88's these were pulled along by AEC Matadors so who is to say you are wrong! but best bet see if you can find the Tamiya 25 pounder it's aviable as a kit on it's own I think that would look so much better. oh yes and the germans did capture a few so you would be ok to use it with a Pak or something else

your right mike, i asked my grandad, who served with the royal artillery in burma from 1943 to 45, then india till 46.
i showed him the picture, and the tamiya kit i have, and he said they had both kinds, and used both to tow their 25 pounders.
they were painted plan khaki drab,
hope that helps chip
cheers
joe
