Hi all
Christmas is just round the corner and I'm thinking of putting some new Lifecolor paint kits on the list.
I just wondered how people go about chipping these paints. Until now I've used hairspray with Tamiya paints, but I could do with something a little more reliable and repeatable. Can I use Ak chipping effects with Lifecolor for example, or is there something better?
Thanks for your help
Andy

Andy,
Lifecolor is excellent paint, and it lays down a thinner layer than Tamiya. I have used, and recommend, Ammo of Mig chipping effects for use with Lifecolor, or any other acrylic paint, but it works especially well with Lifecolor. And yes, it is better than AK.

Thanks mate. That's just what I was after. Do you mix the chipping layer with water before spraying or is thinners ok?

It usually sprays well right out of the bottle, but use their thinner if you need to thin it.
