I'm about ready to try my next adventure into acrylic paints. How does the Mr. Color range stack up? Can it be brushed the same color as if sprayed and, if so does it require a special medium for this? I will be ordering 3-5 bottles, depending on opinions here.

Matt

Personally, I really like the Mr Color paints. Easily diluted with IPA to put through an AB and nice range available. Painting with a standard brush is never as good as with an AB - Vallejo are much better in that aspect.

I have a few bottles of Vallejo, but hate trying to thin them for spraying. I do like that they brush quite well over a primer or base coat. This is really an ongoing review/experiment to find the most user friendly acrylics(though most aren't true acrylics). BTW: I will be dabbling with the AK range, soon.

Try mr color thinner , they also have a mr retarder mild , or if you can find mr color leavening thinner it has the retarder mixed in already . Same thing about the odor , it's strong .

I found the paints on Red Frog Hobbies, for $2.99 a bottle.
