Why don't they just shoot him, or are they afraid that the well-made jungle is damaged by their bullets?

Its a really nice piece of work and I appreciate the feeling being presented that to take me I will make it an expensive deal. I know having policed in remote areas my mother asked me once what happens if you get killed my answer was Mom if I am going down I will not be going by myself I will be taking some with me. It did upset her but in order to survive in a time of bad things being afraid of death does not help any more than rushing towards ones death. One must be willing to be able to face danger with accepting possibilities but knowing nothing is certain until its all over and its time to pay the piper!

Nice slaughterhouse. The main thing is not to sell the skin easily and fight to the very end. Great dio. Congratulations.

The Soldier ends up living through this event. As to why hasn't the VC already shot this Soldier, it just wasn't his time. I've been in a few firefights where guys to the left and right of me got hit but I didn't get a scratch and I was probably more exposed than they were. It just wasn't my time. Also, the VC just saw four guys get chopped up by this guy so I imagine he was probably in somewhat of a state of shock. Despite what popular belief might be, not all VC were hard core killers. Charlie used to "Draft" military aged men from villages, so some of them were just there because they were threatened, as well as their families, if they did not join.

I love everything about this dio and really liked your storyline behind it. One question though. What is the VC on the right shooting at? The only threat that can be seen is the soldier with the knife whose on his left.
