Hello
Today I found a resin kit of "EPS Springer with M2 Machine gun" 1/35 in vt-models.cz shop. I have question if this vehicle is in use with british troops in Afghanistan or it's just a prototype ?
Thank You for help

It was trialled, but found to be no good, & not liked by troops.

the Few that were there were returned to the UK & sold as obsolete.

There are two pics of this vehicle in the book from Tankograd N°9017, "Task Force Helmand". The pics depict a vehicle in Afghanistan in 2011, but without M2 machine gun mount. You have to take the first kit from MMK.

Don't know if the version with M2 machine gun was used in Afghanistan.

You have also two pics on this link:

Was used for a short term but it could not fulfil the role it was envisaged for and had to be underslung from Chinooks. Classic Military Vehicles had a good article on them. They were designed to fulfill the role the quad bikes do off the shelf at great cost to the tax payer. Sometimes just looking at whats on the market is the better option.
