Hi all,
I've recently had a disaster with a decal on my churchill crocodile, so I painted over it to start anew. It was a triangle on the fender that became frosted. Thankfully, the kit came with two other similar triangles, albeit in red and blue. I need the triangle to be yellow for the markings I'm doing. Can I simply paint the yellow on the decal before separating it, or do I need to place the decal first, then mask off the areas I want yellow? Thanks for the help guys, happy modelling!

You could do it either way really. It might just be easier to paint a patch of yellow and then mask the triangle with thin strips of tape and over paint with your base colour.
