Trying something new here.
I've never worked with resin kits before and I would like to thank Bobby Hampton for selling me this kit over the summer.
The IKV-91 has been a tank I've liked the looks of since first seeing photos of it near 20 years ago.
But it is VERY rare in 1/35. Only made by Hobby Fan and I have only seen one other build of it online (feel free to correct me about that).
the IKV-91 was built in and used only by Sweden. Designed as an amphibious lightweight tank destroyer it was intended to retain it's mobility in Sweden's numerous lake and rivers.
The 90mm low pressure gun gave it good penetration while ambushing armor but it's own thin armor meant it was going to avoid going toe-to-toe with MBTs.
So far this build id going well.
The casting is wonderful with lots of detail already present.
The resin breaks/snips off of the casting blocks very easily.
More the issue is the VERY poor instructions which are not always clear as to where the cast ends and the part starts, so already I've made the mistake of trimming the forward edge of the upper hull too far.
Fortunately I think this can be filled in with out a major problem.
Much more to follow.
