I have seen it briefly mentioned in a couple of different places that the British painted the tops of the turrets of tanks and tank destroyers either yellow or white, depending on which corps or army they were attached to, in July 1944. My questions are, how widespread was this practice, which units used which colors, how long did they retain their markings, and does anyone have any pictures? I have only found one picture in the Hunnicut Sherman book that positively shows this paint scheme in use, and I'd like to use it to add some color to my new Dragon Firefly kit.
Thanks in advance!
