Here's a photo of my dio depicting the end of 2 Para's hold on the Arnhem bridgehead. I'm about 50% along with this. Still working on the final layout. Lots more rubble to add. Still lots of painting to do. Not really happy with the composition yet, the idea is to show the battered, bloodied but still defiant Paras finally surrendering to the German forces( see the para sticking two fingers up to the photographer). I also want to add a German medic or a soldier offering chocolate to the beaten airborne forces. Any feedback welcome.
Here's my Border Reg vignette (almost finished, the whole thing needs a coat of matt varnish, the hands and helmets need finishing and some leaves need to be added.) I had a third figure in the scrape but wasn't happy with him.

Just a Photobucket heads-up guys:
If you rename your existing libraries and/or move posted images into subfolders, the original image links will be severed. This happened to me a while back. Plan carefully when naming libraries or when using the 'subfolder' feature.

Matt,
When you click on the broken link icon, look to the upper LH corner on Paul's Photobucket page and click on fanboy_album's Bucket
PS: Since trying to help out sometimes will railroad a topic. I think we ought to move this Photobucket issue away from Paul's thread. Maybe a new image linking topic or referral is in order?

Wish there was a zoom for the city scene. Quite nice work. Are you still working on the figures in the rufage? What line of paints did you use?

How about now?
I'm using vallejo paints. None of the figures are fully finished.
Cheers for the technical support

Jerry- Any more thoughts on your arnhem dio? I know you said something small but I'd love to see your take on the British wounded in the cellar boxed dio. The way you pose your figures, you could really bring this idea to life.

Sometimes it is,like when I built my German medieval bathroom! Now I can hold forth on my throne while making believe I still live in Germany!

A few more photos.
The upper room of the Arnhem building with a dead para to be found lying in the rubble.
Another view of the Border regiment troopers in the woods on the Western edge of the perimeter.
Another view of the Arnhem dio with the surrendering paras. Composition is still being decided.
let me know what you think.

Hi Paul ,
i like the scene with the paras in the wood very much , it's very realistic. the scene with the surrendering paras is also very promising.... your dioramas have two things what i like the most,
it's based on historical issues and a dynamic scene.
Good work , looking for more...
Cheers
Kurt
