These all look like great sets, plus it is really nice to see something beyond the standard sets of four figures in a box. Why does there have to be a guy pointing? Why couldn't he be scratching his head, or holding a sandwich, or doing just about anything else? I didn't know how much it bothered me until I saw that. It fits the context of the set, but there are just too many out there.

This is good! More D-Day/Normandy US figs. These will go well with MB's previous D-Day figure sets. The .30 cal team looks like it's also from one of the previous sets.

I really like the look of these figure sets. Some anamated Americans moving with purpose and some Germans with the look of where is he sending us now.

Fantastic! This is what's needed, great options for those who usually modify their figs but need a certain uniform/combat era to work with, not that these aren't great out of the box! I will definitely be picking up one of each. Diorama builders and those abandoned by Dragon rejoice!

I knew that was coming! None-the-less — three very nice looking additions from MB.

The civvy refugee looks very nice. Good to see a manufacturer doing something other than just endless boxes of germans! Keep it up Masterbox.

All very useful and well done figures once again from MB!! Good job!
I love the German guy looking over the officers' shoulder. "You're putting us WHERE? Are you f...king CRAZY?"
Nice stuff and nice to see some Heer guys with the characteristic Normandy era Heer smocks. Looking at fig releases one would think there was only WaffenSS troops in the German army.

As much as I like the German group, those GIs have sold me. Must buy.

I agree with you Nathan, Dragons figures are hitting the bottom of the barrle and the customer service is less than desirable any more. I personally think M.B. has stepped up to the plate with the figure releases. The U.S. troopers look fantastic and combined with other figures will do greatly for any beach dio. And the civilian hits my taste for what I do now. I don't do German stuff any more but they look pretty good too. I will be p/u two each of the U.S. troops and the civilian as soon as they are available. Great job as ussual M.B. Now if I could only get rid of the 60 or sets of Dragon German figures so I can p/u more M.B. sets I'd be one happy camper.

When it comes to injection moulded figures there are 5 companies I pay attention to:
MiniArt
MasterBox
Bronco Models
ICM
Zvezda
All five of these companies release some interesting combinations and as a rule they go together well. I will also say that MasterBox has excellent customer service, it is fast, painless and a positive experience.

What happened to Dragon (Gen2), where and when available?
Posted: Sunday, October 26, 2014 - 04:34 AM UTC
Sorry Biggles I was never a huge fan of Gen 2 figures, I know they appealed to some but I do not believe they had the appeal some think. I would have expected Dragon to continue releasing them if I am wrong in that belief. Now there Premium figure releases did appeal to me as a common modeller, as they had everything in the box and offered options.
