Thats a really cool dio. I like the idea behind it. Is that 35th scale ? How big is it? Great job

looks pretty good mate, just one thing i thought you could fix up, there is no ladder on that watch tower, they might have a bit of trouble getting down from there
and whats that stuff lining the mortar pit? also what figs did you use for the nva, you seem to have alot of them, and i cant find any decent amounts of nva or vc anywhere, unless i wanna use resin which is far to expensive over here, good work though, cheers

From what I can see it looks both good and overcrowded. Some close up scenes would be great. Have you kit bashed figures to make them marines and NVA? I see some that look similar to other kits but its hard to make out. How long did this take you to make? How may figures are there in total?
Did you know that every member has 3 MB of free space here in the gallery on armorama? You can load up quite a few good size photos there instead. Maybe that would be a better option for ya! Good luck and congrats on finishing the campaign!

Great Dio! My compliments to the effort and dedication you put into it.
I watched the movie too. It's not bad compared to others when it comes to portraying the Vietnam War.
That movie was shot on location in the Philippines. One of our well-known actors portrayed the NVA commander. I also remember R. Lee Emrey making an appearance in a local TV show to promote the movie.
Going back to the diorama, I see you really made use of a lot of Tamiya/DML figures there.
Congratulations of a very beautiful diorama.

Thanks all. For some reason I keep getting an error when I try to upload pics on Armorama. My digicam is kinda old and doesn't take closes up very well. I wanted to capture the CQB with pics but they just came out blurs.
The overall dimensions are 2 x 1.5 feet in 1/35th. I realized there was no ladder and planned to add one. I even have a figure to climb.
The NVA came from 2 DML Viet Cong kits mixed with a variety of Japanese WWII infantry. Swapped around some rifles, AK47s, helmets and of course painted them all different colors. The marines are basically a collection of every DML/Dragon Vietnam set I could find. There are some duplicates if you look carefully but helmets, weapons and equipment were varied. The mortar crew is the Tamiya 107mm Mortar and an old figure in the tank top from the scrap box.

That is one busy Dio. makes me want to look for Wally :-) :-) It`s quite well done here and it all looks quite ok. I pressume this is exactly as the real thing. I don`t know much Nam era.

Awesome. Can you take some more close-up pictures. I feel I'm missing a bunch of stuff going on :-) Great job. Could use a few more details, like the ladder #:-), but it looks good.
