I was told there are two SINCGARS radios in a Bradley M2A3 like the Meng kit, so I purchased two AM resin sets. Now I would like some help in placing them inside the vehicle? I presume one in the driver's compartment and one in the turret? Or am I totally FUBAR on that?

Two in the turret behind commander and loader. Usually the two radios are installed in one rack.

Bill,
Both would go behind the Gunner and TC positions. Now what is probably meant by "two" SINCGARS is one rack with two radios in it. One radio rack holds two radios. Usually it is a long range radio and a short range radio therefore only two antennas on the turret.

Eduard old (pre-SINCGARS..) "M-2 Bradley Turret interior set" (35613) instructions show the earlier"two racks" setup. But now you know you need only one for your build

All the above is correct; in the turret behind the TC and Gunner. In the Meng kits, they have the older A/N VRC-160 radios (part M12) in the same location in the turret. Replace M12 with a sheet of styrene for the shelf and place the SINCGARS stack on there and you will be set.

Thanks, everybody! And do we know what aerial SINCGARS uses? Short whip, or 10' two-piece?

Thanks, HP. It's all falling into place. How tall are the whip antennas? My guess is about 6 feet.

Here are some options for vehicular SINCGARS antennas :
RF-390-AT00X Multiband Vehicular Whip Antenna (2.8 m)
RF-387-AT001 Dipole Whip (3.3 m)
RF-398-01 Monopole Low-Profile (1.9 m)
RF-398-03 Dipole Whip (0.3 m)
RF-394 Whip (1.1 m)
RF-397 Whip (0.9 m)
I guess the RF-398-01 could be a good choice

The antennas are in two 4-foot sections for a total length of 8 feet. In 1/35 scale, that comes to 2 3/4 inches.
Found a couple pics of SINCGARS mounts in a Brad. It is behind the BC on a shelf as I described.

Pretty sure those are MT-1029's, mounts for the old VRC-12 series of radios, but no doubt the SINCGARS goes in the same area

looks like a good solution, though I think K&S does offer .005 music wire.
