Not a good day for me... third time posting this.. internets seems to be mad at me.. short story this time.. Tamiya kit.. From the box... cast shells... wire and bits for the radio area.. Kit figure.. lost steam 1/2 way through....this is what it looks like..Photobucket down.. hope it works..

Enjoy

If this did not work.. well you would not be reading this cause I am all out of attempts today.

Edit for big pics and no annoying flicker links...

Looks good. I wish they would have included links and lengths like they did on their 1/48 scale kit. I have both about half finished, but have moved on to newer projects.

very nice.
I understand your "lost steam" comment. These are tough little machines to model...anything with an open interior is time consuming to me.
Try the Dragon or Cyberhobby version next time....for a small kit...Dragon goes all out on the detail...it takes a long time. But , its worth it in the end to have patience.
Even a 250 or 251 kit takes a lot of work. Its not like a tank..you can just paint the whole thing & be done with it.

Very nicely done, and the figure is really well rendered. One other observation,, I might have made the heat shield on the exhaust a bit more discolored to contrast from the otherwise nice camo work.

Thanks for all the kind comments! I would have preferred the links and lengths or even better individual links. I used to hate those and still hate cleaning them up but they make such nice tracks when done... Oh well Tamiya listen up please. Current project is the tamiya Is 3 and the band tracks are going to be a problem.
Jack I agree about the heat shield but it fell into that close enough get this off my bench after the mojo fell away. I will blame the loss of mojo on the shells and the lack of proper supplies to make them in Taiwan.. Still working out of a hotel room with Google translate and Chinese shops and signs. In simple words lots of head aches.
David.. I am normally a dragon guy, this is the first non dragon kit in ages, but this one was in the stash staring at me so I had to build it. Funny thing is I can tell you where ever kit in my stash came from except this little bugger. I have no idea, maybe the better half snuck one in instead of "talking" about how many there are.... hmm on second thought maybe I am just getting older.
The base will eventually get some ground work and I will put an antenna on it. It will be shipped back to FL one day so I will probably hold off on the antenna till then. I just need to find some clay for the base still... or go old school and use plaster..which by the way is what they call band aids in Taiwan for the record.. but that is another story.
