Does anyone know of a drop-in urdan cupola for the M48/M60 IDF tanks in the aftermarket world? Had no luck searching for one.

The Revell 03170 M48 kit has one, IIRC.

Held my breath for a minute. Thanks for the help. Tom I will try and track down the Revell kit, I have the M60 A1 with ERA kit#03168 and it doesn't have one.

You have a couple of options. There are three injection molded kits that include the urdan cupola; ESCI #8333 M48A5, ESCI #8318 M60 Blazer, and Revell #03170 M48 A2/A2C/A2GA2/A5. The Revell kit is a reproduction of the ESCI M48 and is probably you best bet although it is currently out of production. You are given four different cupolas(standard M1 cupola, the M60 cupola, hatch from the German M48A2GA2, and the urdan cupola) and three gun barrels. You would have to source your own mg.

Modell Trans does make a resin urdan cupola(#72227) that includes both a .30 cal and FN Mag.

@disorderly,marcb, alexmarr77, LeoCmdr, mpeplinski- Thanks guys for the info but as rockmart pointed out, I am looking for a 1/72nd scale item. I really appreciate the help though

@glock17c- Michael, thanks for your willingness to send me your items as well. I have tried getting on your IDF Modeling site with no luck but will continue to try.

@Frenchy, barkingdigger, rockmart- Thanks for the 72nd scale help! I didn't realize the ESCI/Revell kits had the urdan cupola. I will be on the hunt for the ESCI #8333 M48A5, ESCI #8318 M60 Blazer, and Revell #03170 M48 A2/A2C/A2GA2/A5 kits. Does anyone have any experience with the Modell Trans Urdan cupola?

I have an old Goffy MAGACH 7 conversion kit that has a resin coupla molded to the turret. It's hatch is open. You could cut it from the turret. Let me know if you want me to search the stash. PM me.

Has Braille Scale suddenly got bigger? I thought it was 1/72 and smaller. Guys, we Braillers only get one area on this forum; can we keep it to Braille Scale please?

REALLY... Where have YOU been, and WHY are you commenting... It IS only Braille scale. And DUDE, when you come in with a comment like this, without any reason for saying in it, you don't seem to have much 'push'...
