Just wondering what people are using for the cat yellow. Picked up the d9r and m1070 after a nice work bonus. I want to do a LAFD dozer and dozer tender with the two kits. Is there a good cat yellow in enamel? Has anyone mixed paints to make the color? Acrylic? Mixing for color match has never been my strong suit.

Do you have a Cat dealer in the area? You can get a touch-up aerosol can of Cat yellow. It definitely has an orange tint to it, so I wouldn't use an off the shelf plain yellow hobby paint.

Auto parts stores in most rural areas, plus any farm/AG supply stores will have Cat yellow in stock.
But beware they tend to be 15-16 oz cans.
