I'm prepping my first M1 for NATO coloring. I'm using Vallejo's suggested colours. Black and brown look fine. The green however... it looks dangerously loud and garish, almost closer to Slimer from Ghostbusters.

This isn't my tank, but from someone elses build using the same colors...

I have primered and basecoated in black, but man.. there's no way I wanna put this green on.

It looks suitable for Japanese manga character models. Well, I hate Vallejo's Dark Yellow; it should be called Green Yellow.

Dont be afraid of it- Bronzgrun is a bit learyon the eyes frst off, but once you've applied even a single filter layer it starts to tone down.
Here's my last NATO scheme- and all its had is a couple of light filters and a light dusting.

EDIT:Apologies mucked up the pic thing- but sorted it now I think.

Honestly I don't trust your light source in the picture. It's too yellow and adding a yellow cast to the color.

The color looks right for the bright green tone the original paint has all nice and fresh. Once the filters go on the value will change and become more like we're accustomed to.
