Can we assume that "correct rebuilt M993 Bradley Carrier Vehicle chassis" means they've corrected those horrible wheels? Even so, will Dragon have gone the extra mile and given us the undercut wheels? If recent history is our guide, I'm not hopeful. I can't tell you this will be a dog or the greatest kit to ever hit the shelves. I can tell you, (and I know some of you hate hearing this, but have I steered you wrong?) I'd wait.

Sounds like they might be trying to get some extra mileage out of those MLRS moulds before someone else does a truly new tool..Orichi? Meng?

I have a partially built one on my shelf. Anything would be an improvment really; biggest question is 'will it be worth the price'.

I guess that we will only see a new sprue with the m.g. mount, the A/C unit and whatever it on the engine cover. Maybe a sprue with the "Big Foot" track. But lets wait and see `til the first images or even reviews appear. We modellers can still vote with the feet respectivly our wallets.

P.S. Would be interesting if a representative of DML would join this group (like Raymond from Kinetic or the guys from Trumpeter/HobbyBoss) to reply directly.

Mr Skipper, with your past work with Meng, and Meng having already released an M2A3 and M3A3,and now Dragon announce an M270 and you advise us to 'wait'.....what kind of conclusions do you expect us to draw??? Ooooooo you sly old dog you.....

Seriously though,if I'm reading this right and picking up on the inference, yeah,I'll wait, anyway too many nice things are already out and picking up the spare cash between now and any anticipated releases

Great news. I hope it is an all-new kit. I'm looking forward to more details.

I also guess it will be between $50 and $70 in the US, an old kit with a couple of new sprues at the price of a new tool kit, thank you Dragon but I'll pass...
They should have put that one in the Orange series of their CyberHobby line IMVHO.
Cheers,
Christophe

Before we start slagging it, why not wait to see what actually is in the kit and what it is actually priced at. I don't see the point in bashing every new release before we even see what it is.

Well Gino it's rather easy to guess, given Dragon practises and ranges. It's not in the Orange series hence will be full price. Wanna bet?
Just look at their ISU-152-2 BL-10 they released recently based on their old Orange kit ISU-152 itself based on their ancient ISU-52, all the BL-10 has is one or two small new sprues at the price of $54.99 on the Dragon USA Online store.
Cheers,
Christophe

I'll wait to hold judgment, especially since Rob (18Bravo) was involved with the project.

OK there is hope then... But if it's all new tool why not say so? If it's not all new tool is an almost 25 year old kit with a few new sprues really worth $55?
Me I'd much rather have an all new tool MLRS. Time will tell.
Cheers,
Christophe

Whuh? Please go back and read what I said. I've never helped Dragon with anything - one of the few I haven't helped, but oh well. Other than their Abrams, which Pawel helped on, their track record is not exactly stellar.
All I can do is repeat what I said. I'd wait.

Huh?... What makes you think Rob was involved?... Read his post again - he knows as little about this kit as we all. And Dragon's description lists only some new parts, so it is a safe bet that majority of the kit is the same old plastic.

Sorry Rob, I took the above as your cryptic way of implying you were in the loop. Your hints in the past have been similar on the Legend stuff (and others) you have been involved with.
I will still wait to see how it is before jumping to conclusions though.

As Pawel says, I know nothing about it, but I do know some things. Wait, I say.

And to think it was not so long ago all I ever read was "I'll wait for the Dragon offering", how the tables have turned.

yeah, seems like Dragon have dropped the ball recently but with new kids on the block (Meng in particular) doing modern armour SO well then maybe expectations have been raised.
BUT that doesn't mean that we should slate a kit that hasn't been released yet.Cynics may snipe and Fanboys will defend, but me,Im waiting till the kit comes out and the reviewers have their grubby little mitts on the physical article
Good news if there's going to be more than one to choose from,as I said before, there's enough kits to purchase in the meantime...

Modellbau-König recenty listed a re-issue of the original MLRS kit for 45 Euros. I am afraid that we have to face a 60 Euros plus pricetag in the future. My LHS recently got Broncos initial release Buffalo MPCV. I was REALLY shocked when I saw the price: 95 Euros. Definitly not for me.

If you're interested in getting a Buffalo, why don't you check out HobbyEasy? 95 Euros are around $118.. and they have them between $80 and $90, depending on which variant you get, including shipping

The age old battle; The manufactures add new updates to an old kit to save on cost. We the cry foul. They release an new or retooled kit at a high price, we cry foul.

I am aware that I can get the kit cheaper in China, but for some reason, I prefer Lucky Model.
I ask why does the German distributor charges some 95 EUROs. I know that Bronco is a top-notch company, but remember for 95 EURO`s you can get THREE "average" kits from Italeri.
BTW I just started scratchbuilding a CAIMAN MRAP. So according to Murphy`s law, we will the announcement of an injection molded CAIMAN kit soon

Cheers
