I only ever use washes made from mineral spirits and enamel or oil paints. I use ordinary, hardware store Klean-Strip Odorless Mineral Spirits (paint thinner) to mix my washes or for any filters or oil paint color modulation.
Klean Strip::Odorless Mineral Spirits
I buy this in the gallon sized jug from my local Walmart.
I've never had any problems with washes mixed from these materials lifting the Future as long as it has fully cured.
Other thinners, such as turpentine or different brands of mineral spirits might have a different effect. You should test your washes in an inconspicuous place (the bottom of the hull is usually easy to recover any mistakes) before you commit to the most visible portions of your model at least until you are familiar with the specific products that you are using.
Happy modeling!

I work strictly with acrylics, so for washes I prefer artist oils thinned with turpentine. Works fine with or without an intermediate layer of future.

The future seals the paint below so you can use either acrylic, oils or enamels on top of it.
