Can anybody help me with this question. I'm building Trumpeters Panzer 756(r) KV-1 and noticed that the coaxial MG is closer to the main gun then on a regular Panzer IV. From what I gathered from researching the machine gun on the Panzer IV is as close as it could be. So is it possible that the Germans did not mount a coaxial Machine Gun on the Panzer 756(r)?

It wouldnt surprise me that if the original DT machine gun was retained if it fit beside the KwK 40 .
If not then knowing the Germans they would take the MG-34 mount and modify is to line up with the gun port in the KV ..either way i would say they would have one .
