I have started painting figure busts. Does anyone know how I can paint the base to resemble marble? Amati sells busts that have the bust on a small stand that looks like marble.
I would love to know how it is done. Thanks

Google "faux marble painting technique" and you'll get plenty of hits. It's a fairly simple technique, similar to making fake wood grain. Practice and patience will of course be needed.
