Does anybody have photos of Abrams tanks from Gulf War #1?
Specifically bumper codes and vehicle nicknames for 2nd Squadron 2nd ACR.
Thinking of doing a Battle of 73 Easting tank.

2ACR M1A1s had a black square on the front of the side skirts with a sand number and a troop chevron on them. There was also a Coalition Chevron further back on each side as well. I don't remember what the numbers were for each Squadron. For the troops: ^ was A, > B, V C, and < D troop.

Those tanks are from 3/8 cav and 4/8 cav respectively. Only 2bde 3AD had the black field with chevrons, those were specific to our unit. Bottom photo is B Co 2nd plt. Shoot me a pm I have lots of 4/8 Cav photos, but none of 2ACR.

Whoops, I guess I was a little off. I thought 2 ACR also had the black square on the side skirt.

I wouldn't bet on that. Good info though.

What would be the corps and regimental bumper codes be?
The other codes for troop and squadron vehicles is standard as per regulations.

Figured out what the Corps and Regiment codes would look like.
But has anyone ever scene photos of Captain H.R. McMaster's Abrams tank?
He was the CO of Eagle Troop.
So the bumper codes would be straight forward.
VII 2CAV E 66.
But I would love actual pictures of his vehicle.
