The Vector is powered by a 3.2-liter sixes, good for 215 hp and 500 Nm of torque. The fuel system is equipped with a heating and cooling system, to continue to do it under any circumstances. Moreover lust 'ie virtually all types of diesel (F54, F63, F34, F35). The block is linked to a six- or eight-speed automatic transmission. Vector also has limited slip diffs and 4-wheel steering, for a short draaicirkeltje road. A winch, launcher smoke grenades and two holders for machine guns are not beaten. The range of light armored vehicle amounts to 1,000 kilometers.topspeed 170km = 105mi

This vehicle was developed by a few Dutch businessmen, which had extensive experiences with rally driving and off the road vehicles.
The Dutch reconaissance compagnies, more popular known as 'commando's', used the Mercedes Benz military vehicle in many missions, but, even after extensive adaptations of frame work, wheels, motor and what not, it became clear that a more versatile vehicle was needed. The new Vector has now entered services, in such a way that two vehicles have been purchased by the Defensie Materieel Organisatie, DMO (Defence Material Organisation) for extensive field tests by the Commando's themselves.
Remarkable is that a small, eager, quick reacting, innovative enterprise was able to beat quite some leading cies.
Let's see how this 4x4, 4wheels steered, machine will develop.
There is quite some news about it to find on the web, however, mainly in Dutch.

So 2 vehicles only and no guarantee they'll get more? I don't want to sound pessimistic, but this happened so often in many armies...
Looks good though, it would be great to have a kit available in 1/35!
Cheers,
Christophe

Hi, Christophe,
:D
For some white is a very light execution of black!
No hard feelings, the Dutch Army is not known for its unreliability if it comes to these kind of projects.
"Het Korps Commandotroepen", the Dutch Rangers, more or less, are in the foreground of the Dutch military policy. Being an elite unit, they enjoy extensive attention at this moment. Being present in various missions at the forefront, in close cooperation with the UK and the USA, e.g., they recently produced two highly decorated officers, who got the highest award possible, rarely handed out.
Therefore, it is less likely that this process will be ended due to financial reasons.
But you are right, the Vector would a nice piece to have as a model.
