Hello
I have just trialed the AK 'Worn Effect" fluid as a replacement for the hairspray technique.
Once you have completed the worn effect by gently removing the upper coast of paint applied over the fluid, is it best to then apply a coat of dullcoate or similar to seal in the effect and stop any further wearing away of the upper coat of paint ?
When I used the hairspray method, I never really worried too much as the paint did not seem to come away after a few days and the process appeared to become stable.
Does anyone know of the AK fluid becomes stable after it has dried ?
Thanks, WilloW

Yes I did, because the next stage is weathering, and you may need to protect your painting from that process.

Thanks for your note.
I did a bit of an experiment and discovered that the fluid seems to harder after a period time minimizing any further weathering. 72 hours after applying the next coat of paint over the fluid I attempted to weather it again and found it was very difficult to do so, WilloW
