Another dio that was finished a few months ago but was never posted anywhere other then on my FB page is this one. Finders Keepers. A project that took me over 3 years to finish. I have posted the built progress of this tank some years ago but I screwed up the tracks that came with the kit. It went in a protective box and waited 2 years before I found a cheap set f Modellkasten tracks. and from there it went. IN short. Bronco H39 with Eduard Etch set and a lot of scratchbuilt stuff both exterior and interior. Figure from MK35 and the groundworks was selfmade.
Again I apologize for the quality of the pics. I had to link them from my FB page again because of not being able to upload to the gallery.

Congratulations Robert!!
Great idea, superbly transposed!!
Brilliant job on that poor little Hotchkiss. Thanks for not "covering" it in rust!!
And I like your groundwork! It looks so realistic!
I don't know if it's the pictures, but the figure has a sheen! Maybe a coat of matt varnish can help to get rid of that!
Cheers

Hi Robert ,
i agree with Romain , i have the same result when i paint my figures. When i apply a coat of Matt Varnish from Revell No 2 the shine disappears .
A beautiful diorama anyway !

Ola Guys
Thanks for the comments and compliments. Really appreciated.
@Romain
I'm glad you notice that this vehicle is not fully degenerated yet. I feel a lot of modelers go a bit too much overboard with the state of a vehicle. I like them a bit more on the undamaged side. And then play with dust and mud. Make it look grimy.
@ Romain and Kurt
The pictures make the figure look more shiny then it is. The trousers are matt and the jacket has a sheen on purpose as I wanted to make it look like a leather jacket. Usually my figures are dead flat.

Aha! ... leather jacket. I too wondered about the sheen — makes sense now. Outstanding work!

Hi Robert,
Great to see you are still at it
I really like the groundwork, it looks very natural. Which product did you use for the grass? Very well composed piece!
Anything else on the workbench?
Cheers,
Shay

Thanks everybody for the comments. Really appreciated.

Thanks for teh compliments.

Never stopped building. The posting of it on forums got behind. Thanks for the kind words. The grass I used is Heki Decovlies. You can find this in the modelrailroad shops. Not cheap but very realistic. I use it in pretty much all my diorama's
Bob
Thanks for the kind words as well. And the solution for the man is easy. One piece at a time. Johnny Cash brought home a complete Cadillac that way
Oh and before I forget it. Shay... There is a multitude of things awaiting paint at the moment but diorama/vignette wise I have these 2
Horch Kfz 15 with PAK 36 crossing a river over a Makeshift bridge by Pioneers. Obviously still lacking 100% of groundwork... And bridge... And Pioneers
And a small project with some leftover figures and a demo model of Der Hammer from Paper Panzer Productions. This will be my holiday project.

Really fine scene all around, Robert! What really impresses me though is the H39,, simply superb!. And I may be guessing wrong, but this guy must be working with the Resistance. And is hoping there aren't any German troops in the area.

Thanks for the compliments. I will post separate topics soon for both those projects. Looking forward to start posting here again.
@ Jack
Thanks for the compliments. Especially for the H39 as a lot of work went into that vehicle. THe complete works on that was documented a few years back. You can find it here
Bronco Hotchkiss H39 buildlog
Funnily enough I never viewed him as a resistance man allthough I Can see how people get that idea with his cart loaded full with weapons. I Always called him Francois the Scrapmetal merchant scouring the battlefield for stuff that could be worth something.

@Shay.
Check out the Fruhstuck and Panzertod topic. It shows the beginning of the diorama visible in the last picture.
