Hi guys,
Been able to work on this baby finally! Here's some pics and constructive comments are more than welcome!
Next step is the sand color.

Salut Christian!
Nice work! How did you do the rust and chipping? Hairspray technique?
Also, what kind of yellow did you use?
Finally, I think there should be more metal ahowing in the bucket and less rust, since that part is in contact with rocks and stuff all the time.
Lāche pas!

Salut Nicolas,
Merci de tes compliments! :-)
After seeing pictures of a 60 years old D6 blade(and still in working order I should add!) and since I have to redo the blade, I will definitely leave more metal on the new one.
I need to let it dry carefully, the old one cracked for some unknown reason. It's been 2 weeks now, so I think I'll get on it over the weekend.
To answer your questions, yes, I used the hairspray technique and it does work like a charm. The yellow is the one suggested by Meng in their instructions that I was able to find in the Vallejo range. I'll come back to you later with the correct number.
Cheers,
Christian

A small update on this project!
I was able to finally get to v2 version of the blade. So far, it looks pretty good, although I preferred the metallic finish of v1!
I was able to finish the track as well and will be doing the sand color soon.
@ Nicolas: The yellow I used is from "Vallejo Model Air" selection #71.078 Gold Yellow as per the instruction. It's very yellow but I figure that with the subsequent weathering steps, what will show of it will be significantly toned down.
Thanks for watching and as always, comments are welcome!
