FYI, the Legends resin set does not fit this without some work. The rear of the hb turret is a more narrow than the Meng kit, which the Legends set is for. I was able to use it by using some sheet styrene, so it isn't impossible.

This is the set that I was referring to. Most,if not all of the rest worked just fine. http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=LF1250

I was actually considering that set, just for the turret basket.

Would I be better going with the resin turret basket for the Academy kit or the Meng kit?

Personally, I couldn't tell you. I haven't seen the II basket. I don't do a lot of scratch building and Ididn't have a difficult time widing the rear of the turret.
