Hey guys, busy days these christmas, been doing pretty much nothing but working on this guy hehe. Such an imposant machine.
The kit has been going together quite eaasily but there are some flaws, for example the gun mantlet is without any rational reason made from 4 different parts that dont fit together very well and you will need a lot of sandpaper and putty to make it look decent. Same goes with fenders. Also had to drill holes into the gun muzzle myself and had to make my own system of fixing the turret on the hull as trumpeter made it in a way that turret just sits on the hull without ny fixing - not really practical. Didnt find any major flaws on the other hand, everything fixable with a little nerves. Loving it very much, probably the most anticipated kit of my modelling carreer hehe.
Here is the current progress, please mind that frontal and rear fenders and wheels are not glued onto the tank yet.
Next on the program - putty, putty & putty. Than tracks and PE.

It looks neat and tidy but the MG barrel tip is bent to the side and muzzle brake holes require some clean-up. Just an IMHO.

So, not much texture on the turret? Inside the Chieften's hatch on Youtube has new episodes on this tank. Inside and out.

Thanks for the points, didnt notice the MG indeed. About the barrell - yeah, still not 100% satissfied with it. Its kind of a lady job though, drilled the holes with hot needle which makes it a little difficult to clean up. Will come up with a way hopefully.
