Well since there is no one hundred percent proof which gun was going to be fitted why not use the hunting tiger gun ?
I have read that they was going to use 128 mm,,150 mm and some prototype 150 mm anti tank gun ...so all in all your good with what ever you use .
If it was me i would use the 128 mm gun from Rheinmetall or Krupp kits .
Lion Roar does the Rheinmetall K44 L/56 upgrade set and its a total beauty and would look amazing on a E100 .

Since this is a paperpanzer/ panzer '46 vehicle you can use any barrel you want and no one can say you are wrong. Go nuts and use a barrel from a PzH 2000 (155mm) or from a M107 (175mm).

Hi guys,
Thanks for the inputs. I have put on the kit barrel for the time being while I wait for the metal barrel to arrive (No barrel in SG here, I have checked with the 2 main hobby shops here)
I have ordered the RB Jagdtiger 128mm barrel from UK ebay

The weapon would have been identical. However, Trumpeter's turret is completely fictional, so don't worry overmuch about finding a correct barrel for it. The actual E-100, had the project not been shelved, was scheduled to receive the Maus II turret, but with thinner armor, a fact that was not published at the time Trumpeter made their molds. The kit turret is based on a speculative build by a modeler who posted photos on Track-Link.
Cammett, in the UK, offers a Maus II turret in resin, if you're adventurous. Here's the review:

The short answer is yes, that is what I used for the prototype kit. I believe I used an Eduard metal Jagdtiger 12.8cm barrel if memory serves, but any should work fine.

If You're interested in getting the (arguably) correct E-100 turret, you should be aware of three things.
- The secondary gun, the one right above the main gun, does not fit perfectly so it will require a little bit of fiddling.
- Second, the company that makes it now is called Rhino. I think Cammett changed names or Rhino took over the molds, I really dont know but it seems to me they are the same moulds. I think the turret is out of production but you can find it on ebay occasionally for around $40USD. Just search the term "Rhino Krupp" on ebay.
- Third, I have both the metal Jadgtiger barrel and the resin one that comes with the turret and the resin one is definitely bigger, aesthetically and in caliber. I decided to go with the resin one in my build because in my opinion it is the more correct one (if there ever can be such a thing for a tank that was never built).
Other than the issue with the secondary gun its an excellent resin piece.
