Not really news since they teased a test build a number of months ago sitting in the background of another picture they posted on FB. Its great that its in the catalog now though.

I have been waiting long for this one. Now, what I should do with the Navigator and Tamiya kits? ... Anyway, excellent news.

No, totaly different tank. Its prototype was IS-8.
IS-3m was an updated IS-3.

That is true to a certain level, this machine was supposed to be called IS-10 and it was renamed to T10 for the reason you mentioned indeed. It was on the other hand wholly different machine than IS3.

on the outside there appear to be some similarities. what external differences are there to distinguish the 2? any AM bits to be had?

there doesn't appear to be a whole lot. searchlights on the turret and it's shape, a diff shape to the stowage bins along the hull length/boxes on fenders and then there're the lights. course, I could always wait till it's released. so, that's gonna be when...?

In case you didn't notice, the T-10 is longer then the IS-3M. 7 roadwheels instead of 6. It is essentially a completely different vehicle.

The T-10 had a longer hull with one more wheel station per side (seven pairs, not six), a drastically reshaped turret, and longer 122 mm gun. There's a family resemblance, just as the M48 shared a lot of details with the M103, but there's still a significant difference.

Thanks for posting the data on this new T-10M tank. I have waited a long time to see this tank in a well made form.

Nothing "fantasy" about these two, both produced in series...

if you played wot you'd understand. tanks that were never issued to field units. other tanks that have guns the never actually had, ie; KwK36/L71 the Tiger1 never had. granted it's an arcade game, but there has to be some sense of realism. I was referring to the game as being fantasy in general, not the IS3 or T10

soooo apparently two versions of the kit to be released. Gotta love how this industry works sometimes, you wait for a kit for 10 years and than bam, one day you will get 3 kits of the machine announced (yea this has been announced earlier i know, but you get me)

Is this going to be another SCUD situation where trumpeter beats Meng to market with the same subject and then we suddenly stop hearing about the Meng offering? I honestly wonder how all this stuff works in the shadowy halls of model design and manufacturing... do they spy on each other and actively try to undercut one another's releases, etc?
All that said- super excited for this release. My IS shelf is getting pretty full these days. Love it!!
