Has anyone heard ANYTHING about the 1/35th (Italeri?) Horsa glider kit? It showed up in the on-line excitement so long ago I can barely remember.

Don't you love when something extraordinary is promised as forthcoming and then all trace of the promise disappears?

Take all announcements, with a grain of salt. I was hoping it would be out, before the Operation Market Garden Campaign finished. Maybe some other manufacturer will pick up the slack.

I know that in the UK a company called Modelzone sell it . I seen it for sale on boxing day. However modelzone is now owned by the WH Smith company so might be worth checking them.

Hi friends,

As far I know, Bronco actually is the only who makes the Horsa in 1:35. Others are only announced but not yet realized.

One more is available in 1:48 released in 2010 from Fonderie

Cheers

Giovanni

Great North Roads do a 1/35th RESIN Horsa, sections are available, for Dioramas, not sure if the whole bird is available.

Bronco have Taken Over the Masterbox work on the Horsa, so yes please (Masterbox also has hints of a Waco/Hadrian, C47/Dacota, & a Tante Ju, Junkers JU52)

in 1/48th FM and Sanger do a Horsa & Sanger do a Waco/Hadrian

in 1/72nd, Italeri do the Horsa & Waco/Hadrian, Sanger & Planet Models do the Hamilcar.

Yes, Jon, you're right: Great North Roads makes the Horsa, but mid-aft section, not the complete one.

Thank you, gentlemen. I stand corrected on the manufacturer. I thought it MIGHT have been a planned Italeri release but it looks like it's Bronco. As mentioned, the announcement was so long ago my feeble mind forgot the details!

STILL wishin' and hopin' for a Horsa gift from BRONCO in 2015.

Came up empty checking Modelzone and WH Smith.

Thanks, however, for your reply and suggestion.

The Master Box website is TOTALLY SILENT on any reference to the Horsa. If they are assuming control of the Horsa project their lips are sealed at this time.

Thanks for your reply.

Bronco Models has taken on the Horsa from MasterBox. It is not currently available due to not having been released.
