This is not a new kit announcement from Meng. If you translate the page, you will see it is only a fan who is asking Meng to do an M1A2 TUSK, even though the drawing he shows is of an M1A1 with TUSK on.

Actually he's a bit more than just a fan.
...if you know the history of the BMPT model.......
my translation says:
Chinese firm Meng Models special representations is no longer needed, but nevertheless, I would like once again to express my deepest love for the company and to inform the release of two interesting new products - so to speak, gifts for the New Year.
the first one is already announced.
The second model (not yet announced at the site Meng) - it's late "Abrams" M1A2 TUSK late.
great tie in:

Don't know anything about the guy, but I'll still wait for the official announcement from Meng on their official website or Facebook page.

If this turns out to be a real release.. are there major differences between this and Tamiya's TUSK kit?

That guy's name is Aleksey Khlopotov. It was he who consulted Meng on their T-90 and BMP-T, so, he is an insider of some sort. As for the Abrams, it is actually an M1A1 with TUSK 1. According to what is written below the image:it looks like the guys from Meng have made this kit simply to have it in their catalog, not to compete with Dragon and Tamiya, which is a useless and futile effort and waste of time. Don't know why would they make it providing they have some much more interesting, exclusive models never kitted before...I'm expecting at least two or three new kits of Soviet/Russian tanks from them in the upcoming year.

Yes! A USMC one with the funky new cupola and dozer blade

Wow....underwhelming approval...
Most of Meng's stuff has been SO Good!
I'd be hoping they do as good a job as their M2A3.
Just imagine a late version Abrams M1A2 TUSK with full interior and engine to rival the T-90

Well, with full interior and engine.. that would be a totally different story! Do you think they would actually do that? That would be another dream kit

I hope they do come out with it. If it is to the standards of their other modern kits would be awesome.
I also hope they do an M2A2 ODS as well.
We'll see what materializes. Still waiting for an official-type announcement before I get too excited though.

Hisham,
It would be a difference in the details. I am agreement with the others, that this seems to be a wish of Aleksey Khlopotov. I will also wait to see what happens with this. If Meng produces a SEP, hopefully a V2 with ARAT, well then I guess that my stash will grow by a couple more models. The USMC version with the Parsons Engineering blade would also be cool...

The artwork does look like Meng's 'house style' - I don't recognise it from any book. And it probably makes sense commercially - like Tigers/T-34s/Spitfires/F-16s the M1 is one of those subjects that will probably just sell regardless of how many other kits are out there.
But I agree we need to hear this news direct from Meng.

I sure do hope this is for real! Although I do like the Dragon m1 kits I would surely buy a few of these. As far as to whether or not it's a USMC version it's interesting to note the smoke grenade launchers in the meng picture...there are none which hopefue means meng intends to offer both versions in the kit. Meng I hope your listening.
