Hi there
It looks like Academy ventured into the T-34 niche:

Two variants of turret top with two types of commander cupola...nice! The only thing I don't like is the road wheels represent factory 183 product, the so-called full spider type
Cheers, Paul

Nice move Academy. Having the choice between the split and the double ventilators is great. Actuarially having the split ventilators is the good thing, finally a replacement for that old Marquette/Ark kit, with it's now pretty much messed up moulds....

What did they have? Half spider wheels?
I have a couple of sets of aftermarket ones...
Cheers,
Christophe

Hey Christophe!
They should have pressed/stamped wheels, much like the ones seen in DML SU-100 and SU-85M kits and the ones depicted on the box art.

No problem with those either, got some spares.
Thanks!

Very welcome news! It's a late 112 turret shell, with the low riding bustle, unlike the Dragon item. Have to check the rear contours of the shell, but even if it needs some reshaping, it'll be significantly easier than fixing the RPM turret. The hinges on the tail plate are the proper 112 style (i.e. big). Agreed that it would be more probable to have the stamped wheels rather then the perforated "spider" wheels seen more often at Factory 183, but I don't mind raiding other kits.

It really is a much better match to what is written on the box than this one:

Dragon have beaten themselves in conflict between the box art and actual contents of the kit.
