Hey Vodnik,
As far as I have been able to find out, the only real difference would be the smoke dichargers, which would have to be scratch built.

Hi. Very, very nice. For some reason I seem to leaning to the modern stuff anymore. It's not like I don't have enough W.W.II stuff to do either. This hobby just gets bigger and bigger as I go along it would seem.
Now I just have to decide if I want that pink mechanical pink that's listed below the Leopard on Tamiya's add there. Ha, ha!
Thanks and take care, Sgirty

I would like to get on board and wish they would redo their 88MM.
Still a great model but can use some improvements!!
Plus bring back their 7 ton halftrack with new improvements like the FAMO one!!

The 2A6 is mean looking tank, but like my friend Tom mentioned a 2A4 would be even better. Sure there is the Italeri version, but put it side by side with the Tamiya 2A5 and there is no comparison.
I'd love to see a re-tooled T62 or any former warsaw pact /soviet/russian armor.
If Tamiya is essentially re-releasing the 2A5 with a few parts to make a 2A6, why not repop the T72 with a retooled turret or a turret for a different version.
Correct me if I'm worng, but most of the complaints about the (10yr old??) T72 kit are related to turret shape, right?
I really wish Tamiya would take a page from DML's , and now Trumpeter's, playbook and go back and retool and rerealese kits with corrections.
Still happy it's not another " Mid-late early , just before dusk on June 23rd, before Hans went on break, but after the grinder broke Tiger..."

As far as I know the only difference between a Leo2A5 and A6 is the gun (L44 vs L55)
If it would have been a Leo2A6EX I would have been glad but now, seems like too little "bang for the buck"
If you would like a Swedish Strv122 you are better of with the 2A5 because it has the correct gun.
You still need the HKCW conversion.
