You're welcome.

If I didn't have one in my stash for an A'stan USMC resin convert I would have purchased it. The kit is among the best I've ever built on a variety of levels.

Is the AIM kit hard to get or is it the SEP I am thinking of. I only ask because my LHS has three AIM versions on the shelf.

M1A2 SEP is the tough one to find, AIM was just re-issued not too long ago (got another one from HobbyEasy) and I think Sockleshop still has them. A little pricy this time around. I think Dragon will wait until their new M1A2 SEP v.2 comes out.

I called Dragon USA on 1-9-2015 and the lady on the phone said that the DRA 3556 kits would arrive in a week. I cancelled my July 2014 outstanding order for DRA 3536 as she had no expected date. Guess I will get another 3556 SEP V2 to modify into a SEP if that is possible?

Well over 2 weeks later and no joy on the Dragon 3556 M1A2 SEP V2 as still back ordered. Perhaps the LA port / dock slow down is impacting the delivery to Dragon USA?

They have hit the shops in Australia. Surely the US of A cannot let the Aussies have some new armour tech first lol

The new V2 version apears to easily backdated to the SEP straight out of the box surely some one could scan or copy the old instructions to enable placement of parts.

Cheers Ben.

The only disadvantages here are our stupid gun laws and overly politically correct government once those are fixed we are golden

Thank you for the link. Much to study.

Yes, the odd control of long guns and hand guns there has gotten much notice here in the US. PC runs wild. Our ammo prices are coming down some locally now, but watching our rather liberal President closely for threats to our right to self defense.

Cheers!

Average joe here cannot even have a semiauto shotgun... all semi's are controlled...even a 10/22 7.62x39 is limited here at the moment. local maker just started up for 5.56 so that is at a good price for Oz. 7.62 is next we hope..all non FMJ for hunting
We have no right to self defense nor to CCW or open carry

Thank you for the point to the photos Bill!

Well Dragon USA website just marked my M1A2 SEP V2 #3556 order as "shipped" today on Feb 3, 2015. Looks like the new kit is out in the states now! Also seeing some of the old #3536 SEP kits showing up on eBay again after a long drought.

Cheers!

Dragon #3556 is just a mix of #3535 and #3536 with two new sprues.
The 2 sprues cover the LAGS, RWS, GPS, DUKE and a couple of other bits and pieces.
Back-date to SEP, is very easy. Back-date it to an Australian M1A1 AIM SA, not so easy.

Dragon USA M1A2 SEP V2 #3556 order arrived in Kentucky today on Feb 7, 2015. Just started looking at the kit up close. Also finally picked up the old #3536 M1A2 SEP kits on eBay today.

Much to study up on here!

I also got my 3556 kit today - looks like not a huge amount added, but a ton and a half of unused parts for the spares boxes.
