Hi all,
This is a fictional scene that US Special Forces find a weapons cache in an Afghan village house and as they question his father, little Afghan tries to surrender giving his wooden toy Kalash.

Nice job! The washes on your figures really make the details pop. I like how you dusted the HiLux. The diorama's message comes across clear.

Great work! Did you scratchbuild the bumper guard on your Hilux?

Hi Engin,
I'll echo those above - great build! I really like your groundwork in particular, very nicely done.

Gotta agree with everyone else. All the details pop perfectly and the message comes across so clearly. Very well composed. I don't build modern dioramas (yet!) but this makes me want to try one. Regardless, it's one to look onto for ideas and tips. Love it.

Great job Abi!
I remember when you started with the Pick Up... you did some extra details which were great, and the weathering was top notch. But the whole setting is giving the vehicle a new level of realism.
Great work on the figures, those Evolution figures are absolutely awesome. I like the Afghans, the kid is well done and it conveys the title of the story well.
Altogether, wonderful work!
Mario
PS Where did that Coca Cola case come from?

Thanks all for your nice comments.
jphillips - Yes, I scratchbuilt the bumper. Maybe this photo may help if you think to make it.
Mario - Thanks Bro. Cola case was in my stash, probably seized from a toy set I met somewhere. It was yellow. I painted in red and added cola decals of bottles from Meng Pickup kit.
best regards

Hi Engin,
great looking diorama - the quality of all these Elements fit perfectly together.
Sometimes I see good vehicles, but figures are inferior quality.
But not on your diorama:
The Pick-Up, the groundwork and the figures are really looking good.
And the scene is easy to understand - good story!
Cheers

I like it very much overall!
I would only have changed the interaction from the boy trying to surrender the weapon as you say.
It would have be more clear if he, for example, had offered the weapon holding it with both hands in front of him. Ok, that would certainly mean more changing on the figure, but IMO would be worth it.
He would also probably stand a lot nearer to his mother in this situation.
Otherwise, well done!

Thanks for the comments.
Claude - You can be right on surrender position can be improved but kid is a Pegaso Models metal figure and honestly was not very suitable for more converting.
best regards
