It is amazing how well Vladi can get a facial likeness in 1/35 scale. His Platoon series featured number of familiar faces, but these are even better defined in my opinion.
Amazing figures, great review. Thanks Abi,
Mario

The reviewer references the period haircut on John Bernthal. In the photos of the unpainted headsculpt it looks as though the right side of his head is smooth (i.e. hairless) while the left side has texture (i.e. hair). Is this the way it was intended to look or is this a problem with the cast?

As the reviewer says, the haircut is similar to a Mohawk - sides shaven and top longer and falling over to one side. Germans had similar haircuts. The shaven sides could be painted a pale shade of hair color to indicate stubble.

Hi guys! It`s not cast problem, it`s just funny moment. When I sculpt this figure (at 2014 summer, long before movie release), I had only some photos and officail Fury trailer. As luck would all pics of "Coon-ass" show him from right side and only some seconds from left side (episode inside turret, very dark pics, it looks as he has hair on head left side). I supposed that such haircut is very unusuall for WW2 era US tankers and it looks as hard scars or burns on right side of head, without hair. Anyway, 2-3 minutes and sharp knife can correct his haircut! )))
