Just been looking at Dragons Tiger I Ausf H2 kit and would like to know if the kit is any good?
Also I would like to know more about this Tiger variant, how many were made up and where were they deployed.
First time looking for a new kit for a while as I have had health issues for a couple of years and put my modelling on hold for the past year or so.
Kind regards
Karl

This tank never existed.
This is the Tiger as it was planned to be; armed with a 75mm gun in a small turret. The familiar 88mm turret was supposed to be just a temporary measure.
However, a decision was made to stick with the 88mm.
This kit represents how the Tiger would have looked in mid 1943 if the decision had gone the other way.
As for quality; the hull is essentially the same as the recent Tiger kit #9142 from Dragon, so you can check its reviews.
The other new Tiger from Dragon, the Michael Wittman #6730, is a definite improvement over this in terms of fine detail.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but are you referring to the initial Tiger(VK), as it appears in WoTs?

Thanks David, I thought it was some sort of late war botch job and just thrown it to the line.
Anyway I ordered Dragons mid production Tiger kit 6700.
Thanks
