About to paint some 88 3 shell wicker containers and curious if anyone has nailed down a close color match. Tan perhaps with a wash over it ?

I would go with yellow ochre and a brown wash. Pick out highlights with ivory and seams with dark grey.

You could try lightened dunkelgelb followed by a dark umber wash for shadows and depth and dry-brushing a little very light DG or mix of tan and light gray for the hilites.
And remember that these wicker baskets had arrived at the gun already extensively traveled... they would be dirty and blotched.
