There have been comments posted that this kit , probably soon to be re-released by Trumpeter. It is said that the fit on the Tristar kits are bad.
This build is to find out if this is true or not.
Here are the Sprue that come with the Tristar kit.
If Trumpeter releases these kits the Sprue may differ.

Well it's official as far as I'm concerned.
THIS KIT IS A REAL PIECE OF [auto-censored].
I have scrapped it, I'm getting to old to waste my time on JUNK.
I'll be 68 years old in a month, and tomorrow is promised to no-one.
If Trumpeter releases this kit, save your money.

I built this kit some years ago and can't remember if I came across any fit problems.I guess there was one or two fixing the upper hull to the lower hull.
Just make sure you dry fit first.

Are those gaps due to the bowing of the bottom piece? Or is it just plain poor engineering poor fit? Gaps due to bowing are excusable, and easily correctable, if measures are taken before glueing. It's unfortunate, but bowing can occur with any major plastic model company, and should not be condemned as "poor fit" and "fit problems". (Just saying...)

It's just bowing of the bottom.
I have the bottom pulled up tight, and it looks fine, just a little filling. I'll have more pics. tomorrow.
The hull bottom was apparently designed for their Ausf. D
The inside in the rear doesn't line up good with the sides, but when you put the end plate on it can't be seen.

Thank you, for posting this. I have really enjoyed following your build and have been wondering how the fit was, compared to the Dragon kit. You are doing a wonderful job. So far, I think cost vs. quality favors Dragon.

You are right, the Dragon kit is way better than this one.
This kit is about 10 years old. I have 3 more of their Panzer Iv s in my stash, and that's where they will stay.

They were there, I deleated them as I am not going to finish this kit.
It was placed in the trash, and waste management picked it up this morning.
Picture storage space is at a premium and not to be wasted on crap.

Too bad... I would have paid the postage to get it. It would have been worth it as a great spare parts piece.
