Something for Green Little Men series? Civilians taking some photos with the soldiers?
Anyway, these should be a great addition to many modern vignettes.

Very nice, very useful set.. I was thinking about doing a diorama about the uprising here back in January 2011, and these can be useful for that.. there were a lot of younger boys and girls walking around taking pics of the army vehicles down at Tahrir Square

These are very nice done with great Detail but i think they are only usuable for the Ukrainian conflict. For any other conflict the clothes would not fit and they look also very east-block. Not for syria, irak or Afghanistan. The clothes are more for colder areas. For WW2 they are also too modern. So i personelly don´t know for what else they are usuable than the Green Little men series. Perhaps as modern tourist in Europe or anywere in the world in the winter/fall on shopping tour ;-). Also they could be used as fans for making an photo of an V.I.P./actor/sport star etc.

Actually, they look like a lot of girls in Syria, Lebanon and here in Egypt. Not all girls in these countries wear veils and all that type of attire.. In fact, a huge number of them don't. Actually, if you change the head on the girl on the right.. she could be my daughter in winter time... we do have cold winters here.. they just don't last very long

I will second what Hisham says. There were/are many women in Iraq who dressed in western clothes as well. It got cold there too. We had snow in Jan '08 in Baghdad; not much, but it did happen.
Snow in Baghdad 11 Jan '08
The figures look great and will be very useful in almost any fall/winter setting almost anywhere in the world.

Speaking of snow, you should see the ski resorts in the Lebanese mountain town Fraiya... great powder up there

How about a lingerie show in Faraya in winter time? You didn't think such things existed in our part of the world, did you?

Sorry guys i don´t meant that typical imagination of girls in those countries always wear veilsor or that type of clothes. I know many are very modern and stylish. So please don´t take it personal ;-).
These Figures are not really usuable for "typical" action dioramas.
It´s more for a celebration or liberation scene after battle scene or for displaying a patrol/soldiers in a big city which takes time for an photo.
The lingerie show idea sounds great too .

Afghanistan is different than Iraq and Syria and Lebanon and Egypt.. so are the Gulf countries... Ever since Bin-Laden and what were known back then as "freedom fighters" gathered there (like they are gathering now in Syria) to fight the Soviet Army, Afghanistan changed. Try to do a Google image search for Afghanistan in the 50's and 60's and you would think you were looking at pics of a European country
But, yes, I don't think these girls would last long in today's Afghanistan, unfortunately

These modern female civilian figures are a great addition to the figure market and made history in being the first modern female figures produced. I hope Evolution makes more modern civilian female figures of all climates and places.

MAIM already has five modern female Asian figures (they could easily be used in any modern summer setting) and a number of traditionally dressed Arabic females.
I think the Evolution figures would be better described as the first "western world" female figures.

Excellent! We need more "tourist" figures for those of us who like modelling museum scenes. Now some overweight dudes in jeans & ball caps wouldn't go amiss! (Like me & my friends when we go to Bovington...)

LOL Great idea! Always wondered when the resin figure makers would need models to work from that looked more like me!

We'd have to go a step further and say "in 1/35 scale" because I have some VERY good resin figures I bought in Japan in 1/25. Perfect for a diorama with a 1/25 Centurion, which is actually still something I want to do. I'll try to dig them out and post photos. Speaking 1/25, Revell does a few good ones in plastic. I say this because I'm aware of a certain 1/25 release coming soon...

The figure in red kinda looks like that woman in the 007 movie with the blade in her shoe.
