Just today, I bought 2 M1A1HA from Trumpy. The other one is the normal HA and the other with a mine roller. What a bummer! I still have my Dragon M1A1HA at the works and now I'm into a new one. Kind to think of it, I also want the M1A2 and M1A1 by Tamiya even if it sucks. I'm having an Abrams sickness!!!

Howdy shonen,

Actually, as the song goes," I called up the doctor, and the doctor said..." Take two 'wingy thingies' and get some rest!

Tread. #:-)

I've just opened both my M1A1. Beautiful tracks, both indy and rubber ones. The only thing bad is the fig faces. It even contains a wire mesh and metal chains for the mine rollers. Beautiful. :-) :-) Too bad no interior.

It's a very dangerous time of the year indeed. I have already seen several cases of Bradleyitis breaking out on other threads. Related Abram-Type illnesses seem an inevitable part of the process....Jim #:-)

Hi. It's just a sign of the times I think. What with all that's going on in the Middle East nowadays, and the almost endless amount of pictures and information coming out about these vehicles and their related operations, it does give quite a 'shot in the arm' for the manufacturers to put out these vehicles and also for us to build them. And even I have to admit that it is sort of a welcome change from all the German stuff of W.W.II. (Don't get me wrong here, most of my stuff is German and most of the kits under the bed at the moment are the same.) Have the Abrams with mine plow I'm working on and the Dragon Abrams under the bed--and I may, or may not, get the new one that Tamiya is bringing out here in the near future, if I think it's different enough from these other two, but I think this will just about do it for me. There are just too many other vehicles I would like to build to just concentrate one partuclar type.

Although I will have to admit these modern vehicles, for me at least, are cheaper to build, as I'm not tempted to buy any aftermarket stuff for them like the W.W. II AFVs.

Take care and enjoy them all, Sgirty

Well, maybe beautiful they look, but are not quite accurate - take a look at them again and you will notice small "bumps" on insides of track pads. They should not be there... They are easy to remove from plastic tracks, but it is a lot of extra work. I don't see a practical way to fix rubber tracks though...

Don't tell me that. I got already 2 M2A2 ODS by Tammy and will purchase the M2 of Tammy and Academy. Now, another land combat illness... Wish I won't forget my wingy thingy...

Hey there, fellow Noy-Pi...

I'm gald to see that I'm not the only one whos' addicted into M1s. Let's see...I have the DML version of the M1A2...as well as their Mine Plow version , USMC M1A1HA, and their 1st Marine BTN M1A1OIF...also got Trumpeter's M1AHA, another with the mine roller, and a pair of M1A2s ...not to mention Tamiya's M1A2 OIF.

Still desperately looking for Italeri's M1A2...seems to be the best of the bunch.

Some coments: Don't forget to address the Trumpter M1s' worst flaw - an incorrectly shaped turret face. If you look at it head on, you'll notice that the right side's bottom section is not parallel with the left. It's too painfully obvious if not corrected.

If I sound confusing, look at your DML M1 and actual photos in the same perspectives.

Good Luck on your builds.

ABRAMUS ADIKTUS!!!
