Hello folks
I have just bought the Kinetic Maxxpro MRAP and the Panda Cougar 4x4 MRAP . I am wondering if the USMC used the Maxxpro at all ? I have done a few internet searches that say the USMC purchased them but I cant find any photos of any vehicles badged USMC . I was hoping to do both vehicles as USMC.
Thanks for any help guys

If you look at my photo in the "Mine Roller with Cougar" thread you'll see that the title of it is Legeune 001. I took photos of several different types of MRAPs while there, sadly not the Maxx Pro as at the time I already had more than enough. I can tell you that it was there. Whether for actual training or just evaluation (I believe the USMC originally ordered them in '07)I don't know. It was the Base model oc course. More than that I can't tell you.

The USMC units in Afghanistan started to receive the MATV late 2009 / early 2010, as the MATV's came in the MAXPRO's were sent to Army units. The MAXPRO was a horrible vehicle for Afghanistan. The suspension was not suited for off road use. Probably was fine for Iraq or and area with developed hard surfaced roads. The MATV on the other hand was outstanding off road and almost refused to get stuck. We heard the Army like the MAXPRO because it had a rear ramp and was similar to the Bradley and M113 for entry exit.

Thanks for the information most appreciated.
Looks like I will do my 4x4 Cougar as a USMC vehicle and the Maxxpro as Army.

Many thanks
