I just posted some pics (3) of my recently completed AFV Viet Nam M-88. It is pretty much OOB. I used some wire instead of string on the boom hoping it would be unwavy, but was disappointed there. Need to put a load on it. Looking for an engine sling or a diagram with the specs to try a scratch build. Copied a photo from Sabot's gallery of one, but need some other views/specs. Oh, if anyone knows how/wants to please make the pics visible in this post.

Hey I like it Blaster ! Very impresive model indeed. Do you think if you had it lifting somthing heavy it might straiten the wires out? other than that, nice work bud!

There you go - looks very good :-) I especially like the weathering - subtle but effective. And the chain on the back is GREAT!!

looking good Blaster! Are those indy links or rubber tracks? Looking good.
I feel if you are going to have the A-frame up, it needs a load. I have a thread running at the moment about using an Italeri shelter (M925 type). I have been working all weekend on AFVs later type and am planning to use this as a load.
I have a question as Im not sure either! Are those visor panels at the front... the two parts up high, that look like half hexagons? Should they be painted like so.
Some heavy weathering with metallizers and mud/dust on the spade would look cool!
Did they carry much stowgae on these vehicles?
All th best

Great job Blaster!!!
I guess you didnt need the rubber band tracks after all??????
Ask Rob(SABOT) nicely and see if he can take a couple of more detailed shots of the lifting frame for you.

Thanks for everyones kind remarks. Plan to weather a bit more on the spade and exhaust flanges. As to time depiction. Maybe a few years past "Nam. We still had the GAsser when I was active in Germany up util 80. Want to lift an M-60 engine for a dio. Just need to make a sling for it, then that will weight down the boom cables
