I have a great compressor, but it sits on the floor. To adjust the pressure, I have to get down on the floor to read the dials. I'm considering putting a regulator up on the edge of the table that my spray booth sits on.

Any concerns with doing that? What's the best hardware/regulators to use?

I actually have the Iwata version of that on my airbrush, but I don't like the lack of a visual readout. I am wanting to move the regulator up so I can actually see what specific pressure I have it set at.

Never mind, I see what you mean now. Crawling under my table with a flashlight to read the pressure gage does really suck! Now I'm curious to see what you come up with.

Hi Jake,

This what I use, Regulator & Moisture trap It sits next to my work desk. The only draw back is the gauge is in kg/cm2 and MPa and not psi, but you get use to it, although it would be easy enough to change the gauge.

cheers

To get the best control of your airbrush I would use a filter to at least 20 micron and a precision regulator for greater adjustment and stability.

Quick way would be using a hose, cut into sections. Considering it's an airbrush and not an Impact gun where you need more PSI/Airflow. Use a cheap 10-25" rubber hose and cut it, putting in new barb fittings and use some hose clamps to secure the hose to the fittings, with the new regulator in between.
