Hi Joao,

this reminds me of Monty Python's "and now for something..."

No tanks here!

Please accept my congratulations for the terrain and your superb paintjob on the figures!

For all those not familiar with these subjects, the figures are 20mm!!

Now look at the clean painting!! Well done indeed!!!

The only thing that bothers me is the light blue colour of the uniform jacket!

French uniforms were a lot darker in colour....and if you want to show a faded "blue", the colour would not be identical on all the items! Moreover, the indigo had a tendency to turn almost pink (and not light blue!) when the pigments were washed out.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your project with us!

Cheers

Romain

Joao,

Except for the comments about the uniform colors - of which I am completely unqualified to comment about and completely defer to Romain - I completely agree with Romain! Excellent work.

That windmill looks super.

Your walls are fantastic!

The "French Blue" color is a little light but blue colors in hot and sunny climates can fade to a lighter shade. In Arizona during the Apache Wars 1860's to 1886 American Cavalry 5-button blouses could fade to a lighter shade.
Well done project.

Very cool small scale dio. These little guys are not easy to paint and modify. I know from experience. What did you use for glue? This plastic used on these figs is the same that is used for the bottles that super glue is sold in and so it's hard to find a glue that works.

Thank you for the kind comments.

The walls are made you stones from West Garage Models glued one by one with pva glue. It took a while

in the case of the blue color... in the west part of Portugal is hot especially during the summer....so in making a mess i actually made look more real??

The Trees are a again my production, they are string & wire.

In terms of glue sometimes I use UHU when the superglue does't work, and for basing the figures it helps to drill a small hole in the foot and put a small pin, do the same in the base and the figure is not going anywhere...

I hope I can put more images soon, bu t I'm a bit sidetracked with other big project a 1metter by 1 metter 1/72 harbour scene in France during WWII.
