Hi all,
I haven't had much Braille stuff to post recently but here's a few pics from my latest wargaming customer job completed over xmas, an LAH Ardennes themed battlegroup.
All pretty much OOB and brush painted with GW acrylics. While there's not much in the way of extra detailing it did give me a chance to have a proper go at some late war camo instead of "winging it" as I usually do with my camo schemes. The Panthers had to have three different types of camo so one is "std" factory late, one is DB "Dot" and one is M.A.N. "Disc", or at least my attempts at them . . . lol
cheers
Brent

Great looking group. I've enjoyed looking at your various BGs over the years and this is no exception.
Maybe time to do a retrospective feature of the work you've done?
Oh and the camo looks pretty good to my eyes...

Hey Jim,
Really appreciate your comments and interest. It just so happens that in a round about way I've probably started doing that here in this thread ...

It is interesting to see the changes in style and improvement in techniques over the years. And I've still got a few more to post up there yet lol
cheers

Great looking BG, wish I could do as good a job of camo in 1:35. One small question - two number 1025 half tracks?

The whole group is outstanding, especially considering the small scale. But, I see two 1023 halftracks, not 1025.

Thanks for the comments guys, and yeah I had a real "Doh" moment while numbering the track from the support platoon. It was meant to be "32" and not 23. At least the 251/9 is in low vis black and when it's on the gaming table it should be ok, ish

Brent, I hold you entirely responsible for shelling out for a box of Bolt-Action US Marines today
I guess I just want to try something I did pretty well many years ago and it looks like fun to build and paint-up a wargames unit ....

Dang, you're on the downside of a slippery slope now Jim!!!!
With a bit of clean up you should get a few nice low stress painting hours from them. Groups, small groups, are generally a nice mind release, completely different from sitting down with a load of PE and resin extras knowing that you have a few months building ahead.
However, I used to paint wargaming armies (28mm) for people and that has it's own stress issues. The prospect of 15 battalions or so of Napoleonic infantry, plus cav, artillery, command and support units (close to 1000 figs) can get a little overwhelming at times .....
Look fwd to seeing em posted up in the "gaming builds thread" ...
cheers

On occasion I did that as well - I particularly remember an order for Roman Auxiliaries (Cavalry, Archers and Slingers) which involved around 500 figures....
