With all the new Bundeswehr releases lately, what about a Transportpanzer 1 Fuchs? In service long enough and plenty of variants floating around. How about that Meng, AFV Club or Takom?

Hi H.H.!

I loved this vehicle, I have two Revell, one three tone and one UN.

Hope Takom can make a new one as they made the Luchs.

Cheers!

Did you know, the United States has used this vehicle too? You don't see a lot of foreign vehicles in our inventory.

Yes they did indeed, the NBC Recon variant. We had them attached to my unit in '03, and one accompanied my platoon on the recon of a suspected chemical weapons site.

A sniffer fox in the navy? Or was it borrowed from the army? Btw, I find the Revell kit very nice, commanded a Bundeswehr Spürpanzer in the 80s and I think RoG has done a quite good reproduction. OK, some interior would have been nice, that's where Takom could jump in.

Unfortunatly, the kit has some proportional and dimensional errors in the Spürheck. Thats why we need an all-new Fuchs.
BTW did anyone ever found pics of the IDF Spürfuchs?

John, do you happen to have any pics? Because who knows, I might come across a RoG Fuchs one of these days.

Here (http://www.idf-modelling.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=1340) you can find some pics of the IDF-variant.
Cheers Michael

PS: some more can be purchased from gurirot

Yes I second this proposal. A kit of the latest variant would be great.

Just to clarify, my post re. the Fox NBC variant, I was a Corpsman with a Marine unit in '03. The USMC does not have its' own medical or religious personnel, they get them from the Navy. We are still USN, just have the privilege of serving beside the Marines. Now, in the interest of staying on topic, unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the Fox that day. Wish I had, but that was an all around bad day in a bad place. Thanks to Frenchy for coming through with the link, if he can't come up with pics they're probably not to be had.
