Are the drivetrains and underside framing the same color as the rest of the truck, or are they another color such as black?

It all depends on the truck.

Good question. I've been trying to figure this out myself and to me it seems to be a toss up between primer red, gloss black & same color as the rest of the vehicle (especially when its military vehicles).
Like Richard said, seems to depend on what kind of vehicle it is.

Also depends on what country and from when.

For example, most US vehicles undersides are painted the same color as the rest of the vehicle. An exception is new-build HMMWVs, they have black undersides and frames from the factory. When repainted at the unit level, they are sprayed the same overall, including the underside.

As another example, all Soviet/Russian trucks have black frames, except WWII Lend-Lease equipment which was manufactured in the US and had the whole vehicle painted the same color, OD green, like all other US vehicles.

So the question to you is, "What truck?"
