Greetings all
This is my first post here on armorama.
Im hoping it to be a good one for me.
Ive currently got a 1/35 Takom C2 mexas on its way to me.
Ive been reading that the kit comes with a civilian figure.
Im looking to have some figures in a diorama.
I know of some from black dog and djiri but the cost for them is over priced for me for now.
So im looking to convert some american figures but im lost on the armor details.
Does anyone know of qhat i need to do please.
Does anyone know of some accurate pictures.
My military knowledge is not great in advance.
So some understanding would be appreiceted.

Hi Paul,
Great to see another modeller interested in modern Canadian tanks.
The Djiti and Black Dog figures are probably some of the least expensive figures...and there aren't too many others to choose from.
The modern Canadian uniforms are pretty unique and there are not very many similar type figures.
Someone had once said the Tamiya JGSDF figures are a good starting point for a modern Canadian conversion. I can't confirm that and they will probably scale a bit short in stature.
You are also going to need the correct type of weapons...C7A2 or C8A2.
For easy and free references search the Canadian Forces Combat Camera site...

Thanks jason much apprecieted
Got a long road ahead of me on this one.
Found some live resin helmets that will do as replacments with some minor alterations.
Also got a set of italeri american figures that will do for conversion. Going to stretch the budget slightly and get a single djiti figure to use on the kit, mostly as reference for the other figures.
Finally ive got to pick up the legend set as ive been told the takom c2 is post operational, and the legend set makes it a combat ready version.
Seems this project is going to be costly overall.

The Black dog Infantry figures both have C7A2s.
There is no dedicated set of Canadian small arms...not anymore...I mastered a set for Maple Leaf Models years ago.
You should also look at the variety of rifles/carbines and add-on sets that Live Resin sells...you could likely create a C8A2 or C7A2...but the price won't be cheap.
There are also two C8A2s included in the Black dog models Canadian Leopard 2A6M CAN barracuda conversion.
